Outside Fellowships and Scholarships
Fellowships look great on resumes! Students are urged to be proactive in seeking fellowships and scholarships for which they are eligible, even if they are currently supported on departmental, grant or research money. Aside from the professional advantage, full or partial fellowships can help to defray the cost of the educational experience, provide a supplement to an existing research assistantship or simply ease the burden on the funded student's research group and/or the department The department faculty and the Graduate Program Administrator will make every effort to pass on fellowship information as it becomes available, however, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to be kept abreast of such information. Fellowship and scholarship information can be found posted on bulletin boards throughout the department and is posted to the department bboard at: CEE Fellowships <post+academic.ce.graduatefellowships@ andrew.cmu.edu>. A comprehensive list of available fellowships can be obtained through the Fellowship Resource Advising Center http://www.cmu.edu/frac/.
