Jacobo Bielak Named University Professor

bielak

Professor Jacobo Bielak has been named University Professor at Carnegie Mellon, the highest academic distinction university faculty members can achieve. The title is awarded on the basis of national or international recognition for research and other scholarly activities. Jacobo joined the CEE faculty in 1978 and has concentrated his research in the areas of engineering seismology and earthquake engineering.
